Welcome to the new Cool Fiction website… where you can find cool thriller fiction that’s edgy, modern, contemporary and exciting. Cool Fiction showcases contemporary stories jam-packed with action, humour and suspense, presented in an easy to read paperback format with print-on-demand convenience from anywhere in the world.
If you don’t read that much; find some books just too slow, boring or predictable; are not always satisfied by literary fiction that can sometimes be overly-demanding, overly-written and downright difficult; or if you ravenously read and are searching for new authors and exciting new stories… then Cool Fiction is for you.
We’re kicking off the site with a spotlight on contemporary thrillers from a cool new author – Philip Virgil Jenkinson – that you can’t get elsewhere – not on other fiction sites or in bricks and mortar book stores! His two independently published novels are available right here, right now. There are links to be able to READ part of each book first for free, and you can buy both novels and get them delivered by selecting the BUY link which takes you to the Blurb store in the US – that’s where PVJ gets his books printed.
CLICK on ‘Books’ or the top sliders for more on his novels. Plus check out the movie trailers for PVJ’s new novels – click the viewing boxes on your right. We think they’re hot!
Some of the stories you’ll discover on this site are not only riveting, edge-of-your-seat reads, they contain adult concepts, sex acts, violence, and hilarity that is meant for adult readers not kids or young teens. Cool Fiction recommends readers should be at least 18.
Over time we’ll be adding new featured authors, new novels and short stories, plus contests, a short story competition, and much more. So make sure you visit us often to see what new stuff is happening in Cool Fiction.
Philip Virgil Jenkinson is entering both of his novels, as well as a newly published short story – ‘All thirteen of us’ – in the 2015 IPPY Awards for independently published fiction. ‘A-t-o-u’ is a funny and poignant fictional tale of a jury member serving in a criminal trial and has just been published by The Virgil Corporation as a 20-page book – the first 15 pages of which you can read for free. It costs $9 AUD plus GST and delivery.

PVJ is currently writing his fourth novel, Alpha and Omega. He told Cool Fiction in January that he hopes to finish the book before Christmas 2015. More on A&O soon.
